As a grassroots organization, REACH receives no core funding, and minimal government funding or United Way funding to support our work. We are dependent on the generosity of individuals, foundations, services clubs, social groups, school groups and corporations who believe in the services we provide and the difference we make in the lives of families who have children with physical and developmental disabilities. There are so many ways you can help us support our families and our REACH inclusive programs. Take a look at the categories below to see which one might be a good fit for you – then click the button below to get more information and inspiration!!

SPECIAL EVENT SPONSORSHIP

We are so proud of our events! They build goodwill in the community for our cause, raise funds to get programs implemented and deliver on the social good we promise.  Annually we raise approximately 25% of our overall budget through event fundraising. This is accomplished by directly hosting events or through the generosity of individuals, companies, social groups, who want to support REACH. Events bring in the donation revenue needed to cover expenses and overhead, and can be immediately distributed in the field to sustain critical programs and fund new initiatives. We promise to always be worthy of your generous support – and we promise you’ll have a wonderful time, too!

SIGNATURE EVENTS
Our signature events are renowned and well-supported each year – the Crystal Gala, and the Manitoulin Traction Charity Golf Classic – helping us raise money and awareness for REACH and the work we do. These are events hosted directly by our team and the funds are raised through solicitation of sponsorship, ticket sales and on-site fundraising activities.

THIRD PARTY EVENTS
Charity of Choice partnerships can help us so much. Individuals, companies, sport teams, and other clubs organize events like basketball tournaments, golf tournaments, comedy nights, bake sales, auctions and…well, the sky’s the limit! The proceeds from these events are unrestricted and help towards expenses, overhead and the overall operation of REACH and the essential work and services we provide.

We’ve created a Third Party Package to outline the Terms & Conditions for hosting a third party event in support of REACH. Included are a planning guide, media guide, and list a of fundraising ideas to inspire and assist your organization to have the best fundraiser!

This Third Party Package includes:

  • About REACH
  • Third Party Agreement – Terms & Conditions
  • Event Information Proposal Form
  • Budget Information
  • Tax Receipting Guidelines

“The people who support REACH, they’re making a huge difference not just with the kids but with the families. They’re just making life easier and they’re showing us that we’re not alone.”
– Sue, REACH Parent

CORPORATE DONORS

Leaders in the business community and dedicated to ensuring every child has the right to be included, corporate partners demonstrate their commitment to our work in a number of ways. From one-time donations to multi-year grants or sponsorships at our events, there are many ways to help provide inclusive recreational programming to children and youth with disabilities across Ontario.

FOUNDATION DONORS

Foundations help us realize our mission of inclusion for children and youth with disabilities and their families. Through private, public, family and corporate Foundations you will be able to help support specific areas of our work such as our Adaptive Equipment Program, our Active All Year Program, our Training Program and our Campership Fund Program.

INDIVIDUAL / FAMILY DONORS

One gift can contribute so much to our families, children and youth with disabilities. By contributing on-line monthly you help us plan and budget throughout the year, knowing there are regular funds upon which we can depend. You can contact us to change or stop your monthly gift at any time and a tax receipt for your total annual contribution will be sent at the end of each calendar year. Another option is to make a single year or multi-year pledge to a specific initiative either on–line, through a secure credit card payment or by cheque.

However you can support us, whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated by us all!

IN MEMORIAM / TRIBUTE

This is a meaningful way to recognize a family member, loved one or life event. When people give in memory it can often bring some good in difficult circumstances. You’ll remember your loved one in a positive way by knowing that their gift brings hope to someone else. We will also arrange a special notice of your kind gift to the individual or family, while keeping the amount confidential.

PLANNED GIVING

By making a planned gift, you will make an impact for future generations. This is truly leaving a legacy of inclusion. Members of our All Children Belong Legacy Circle make a planned gift to ensure that inclusion will be a part of everyday life in Ontario. We will work with you, your family and your advisors on a confidential basis to ensure that your financial and philanthropic goals are met.

The benefits of a planned or legacy gift to REACH:

  • You’ll be helping children and youth with disabilities, their families, their support networks and our shared community
  • It will be your personal legacy
  • This will contribute to current and future tax savings
  • It can provide a lifetime income for you and/or your spouse

There are many different ways to make a planned gift:

  • Life Insurance
  • Annuities
  • Charitable Remainder Trust
  • Publicly Traded Securities and Mutual Funds
  • Residual Interest
  • Real Estate
