Become a Donor
REACH is self-funded which means the organization is dependent upon the investments of corporations, individuals, and event-fundraising efforts to support the programs & services provided. With the exception of a portion of the 1:1 support fees (which are covered by flow-through funding from various agencies across the province to parents), REACH does not charge for services. The organization’s fiscal calendar year operates from April 1st – March 31st.
Primarily sources of funding stem from essentially five areas: events, corporate and community donations, investments, grants and foundations and fees for service. Approximately 42% of operating revenue is provided by the largest revenue source, which is events. Approximately 1% of the organization’s operating revenue is derived from government sources.
REACH has an established record of local, provincial and grass-roots advocacy with clear integration values, policies, procedures and partnership goals. In order to provide services, fundraising is a major aspect of the organization’s activities. The primary avenues for this fundraising include corporate sponsorship and donors, major events such as CRYSTAL, numerous charity golf tournaments, as well as community and partner organization engagement.
